The Bishop Farrell Library & Archives will be hosting an open house June 25th and June 26th! We are thrilled to be able to greet people in person and share information about our resources and programming. It’s a wonderful opportunity to find a few good books for the summer and learn more about us.
Our Library collection provides easy access to over 8,000 items including titles on marriage, parenting, liturgy, scripture, prayer, social awareness, and vocations. There are no fees to use our Library services. The Library is open to all members of the community!
We’ll also have The Saint John’s Bible on display, with staff available to guide you through the making and meaning of this one of a kind work of art. Completed in 2011, The Saint John’s Bible is the first hand-illuminated and calligraphed bible to be commissioned by a monastery in over 500 years. The Heritage Edition housed at the Bishop Farrell Library & Archives was created to share the beauty of art and scripture with the world. Over 1,150 pages, art and calligraphy connect artistic and spiritual traditions with modern day imagery, emphasizing universal themes of transformation, justice for God’s people, and hospitality.
Join us June 25th 2:00 – 5:00 and June 26th 10:00 – 3:00!
